Duties

Job Summary

Support Underwriting Operations by providing operational support for the Personal Lines Department.  Provide Personal Lines support for data entry, quality control and agency support. Candidate should have a strong working knowledge of the Personal Lines systems and Underwriting practices.

Essential Job Functions

1. Work in all Personal Lines systems.Takes the initiative to identify processing errors/deficiencies prior to handling and ensures the data integrity of information. Identifies and trends quality of system information. Resolves discrepancies to promote accuracy and consistency.
2. Subject matter expert for all operational workflow processes including paperless and manual systems.
3. Assist with system testing/validation of related issues. Report system issues. Analyze and verify findings, communicate results to appropriate parties. 
4. Assist with quality control of work performed by offshore resources. Identify areas of deficiencies and provide suggestions/recommendation to improve department processes.  Implement agreed upon solutions and follow up for compliance.
5. Maintain a strong working knowledge of the automated systems, department workflows and underwriting practices.  Work in unison with Liaison to identify data entry deficiencies and aid in the development of workflow procedures to drive operational efficiency.
6. Train offshore and internal staff on system functionality and enhancements through periodic training sessions.
7. Comply with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.    

Qualifications

• College Degree preferred
• Personal Lines experience preferred
• Familiarity with underwriting systems helpful
• Efficient and accurate typing skills
• Organized with keen attention to detail
• Ability to process items quickly and accurately
• Good oral and written communication skills
• PC skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
• Problem solving ability
• Ability to work as a team member
