Duties

Job Summary:

Work with and assist the Underwriters, Technical Assistants and Assistant Managers in achieving production, time service, quality and regulatory compliance goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Rate and issue ISO Property, Inland Marine, Crime, General Liability, and Automobile lines of business in current policy rating and issuance system following current TMM rules/filings and guidelines and underwriter's instructions.
  • Use the Commercial Lines Manual and other ISONet products to confirm and apply ISO rating rules and forms procedures.
  • Rate and issue Workers Compensation Guaranteed Cost policies following current TMM rules/filings and guidelines and underwriter's instructions.
  • Use the applicable Bureau websites to confirm and apply regulatory rating rules and forms procedures.
  • Use Corporate Underwriting Resource Portal (ex. specific Rating Tools) and other TMM related resources to select the applicable rate versions and apply TMM rules and filings.
  • Perform basic loss analysis to determine eligibility and application of experience rating.
  • Process non-renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, new business and renewals quotes, new business and renewals issuance, endorsements, and reporting forms per the instructions of the underwriters.
  • Process reinsurance documentation including system entry to capture the transaction.
  • Perform the following tasks:  1. OFAC checks; 2. Pull Workers Compensation experience modification information and inspection; 3. Run DandB reports as requested.
  • Prepare policy for mailing and mail within required time frames.
  • Process supporting documents including but not limited to Workers Compensation filings (regulatory filings both electronic and manual) and posting notices; Automobile DMV filings, etc.
  • Complete all required TMM documentation including but not limited to the following: RMS, MyTMM, FICOH, RapidSure, OnBase and TED Portal.
  • Update any TMM internal logs per the direction of your Supervisor/Manager.
  • Participate in any internal audits.
  • Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at company.
  • Conform to the specified authority statement provided by management.

Qualifications

  • College Degree preferred.
  • 2 years or more of technical assistant/rating commercial underwriting experience.
  • Strong PC skills, with a focus on Word and Excel
  • Strong oral and written communication skills           
  • Strong multitasking skills

Salary range of $49k - $62k. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
