The candidate will be involved in a formal training program covering the various tasks and responsbilities of:
Processing (rating, issuing, endorsing, etc.) Property, Inland Marine, Crime, General Liability, Automobile and Workers’ Compensation policies.
Fostering a working relationship with onshore and offshore counterparts to help achieve overall production, time service and work quality goals in the Field Underwriting Operations.
Technical Assistant Trainee Essential Job Functions:
Rate and issue ISO Property, Inland Marine, Crime, General Liability, and Automobile lines of business in current policy rating and issuance system following current TMM rules/filings and guidelines and underwriter’s instructions.
Use the Commercial Lines Manual and other ISONet and AAIS products to confirm and apply ISO and AAIS rating rules & forms procedures.
Rate and issue Workers Compensation Guaranteed Cost policies following current TMM rules/filings and guidelines and underwriter’s instructions.
Use the applicable Workers Compensation Bureau websites to confirm and apply regulatory rating rules & forms procedures.
Use Corporate Underwriting Resource Portal (ex. specific Rating Tools) and other TMM related resources to select the applicable rate versions and apply TMM rules and filings.
Perform basic loss analysis to determine eligibility and application of experience rating.
Process non-renewals, cancellations, reinstatements, new business & renewals quotes, new business & renewals issuance, endorsements, and reporting forms per the instructions of the underwriters.
Process reinsurance documentation including system entry to capture the transaction.
Perform the following tasks: 1. OFAC checks; 2. Pull Workers Compensation experience modification information and inspection; 3. Run D&B reports as requested.
Prepare policy for mailing or emailing within required time frames.
Process supporting documents including but not limited to Workers compensation filings (regulatory filings both electronic and manual) and posting notices; Automobile DMV filings, etc.
Complete all required TMM documentation including but not limited to the following: RMS, MyTMM, FICOH, RapidSure, OnBase, Insight and TED Portal.
Update any TMM internal logs per the direction of your Supervisor/Manager.
Participate in any internal audits.
Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at company.
Conform to the specified authority statement provided by management.
Offshore Liaison Trainee Essential Job Functions:
Assist the offshore team with processing incoming work when needed.
Identify training needs related applications, system, transactions processing, etc. for both offshore and onshore teams.
Help implement Standard Operating Procedures/Workflows for both offshore and onshore teams.
Perform TM Quality Control Process (Quality Worksheets and Offshore Quality Report Card).
Track offshore performance to ensure SLAs are met and compile results for upper management both offshore and onshore.
Inform the offshore team of product changes/updates; application system updates; SOP changes.
Collaborate with Underwriters; Accounting Department; Claims Department; Producers; Client Solutions and other TM Departments regarding transaction processing (e.g. policy issuance; endorsements; reinsurance entries; etc.).
Identify bottlenecks with the offshore and onshore procedures and processes and offer solutions.
Assist with special projects as directed by management.
Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at Company.
Good desk management skills

College/Bachelor's degree preferred
